Toyota will pull 1 million hybrid cars worldwide
The shocking news came from Toyota, said the giant factory from Japan is ready to draw 1 million units of their hybrid cars worldwide.
As written on CNN, Thursday (09/06/2018), Toyota is said to be attracting more than 1 million units of their hybrid cars including the Toyota Prius, the Prius Plug-in hybrid, and the C-HR throughout the world.
Half the sales of Toyota hybrid vehicles have been sold in Japan, as many as 200,000 cars are in the United States, and the rest are in Europe and other countries.
This statement was issued by the United States security agency, which said the withdrawal was carried out due to the potential damage to electrical systems that could cause concentration and cause a fire.
Toyota also agreed by saying the main problem lies in the wire harnesses that are connected to the car's power control unit (Power Control unit), which allegedly will have excess heat.
"If enough heat is produced, there is an increased risk of vehicle fires," said a Toyota spokesman in Tokyo.
Recall applies to cars produced between June 2015 and May 2018. Toyota said it would provide repairs to customers free of charge.
Indeed, the Japanese car manufacturer is not the first time to have a problem with the Prius. Previously in 2016, he attracted more than 1.7 million vehicles on issues related to air bags and their parking brakes.
