PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) held a test drive of the New Honda HR-V at Kayu-kayu Restaurant, Tangerang on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. The car that was introduced during the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show or GIIAS 2018 was allowed to be tested by journalists from various media.
This New Honda HR-V has a luxurious impression that comes with a new leather upholstery, the design follows the body shape and the model hugs the passenger body. Of course this upholstery design provides more comfort when driving. Not only ergonomic, new designs and the use of color combinations on the seats add to the sporty feel. Head and foot space in the passenger section is also wider.
Its features are now more abundant such as the height of the steering wheel that can be adjusted to adjust body posture like middle class cars. The instrument uses an 8-inch touchscreen display that is capable of playing various music and video formats via AUX in ports, USB ports, Bluetooth, and Miracast or compatible mirroring for Android. Media such as AM or FM radio are also embedded.
Comfort is also felt on the second bench, passengers with 170 centimeters height do not feel the tightness in the legs and are very free to make it feel sore. Rear seats that can be arranged so that it is very flexible to carry a lot of items such as during long trips.
Advantages and disadvantages
The Toyota C-HR feature is indeed not much different, both exterior and interior are sophisticated. Comfort in the cabin is also not much different, only in the Honda HR-V there is no eco, sport, and normal driving mode as in the Toyota C-HR.
The cabin is quiet enough, the engine sounds and the vibration doesn't feel. The legs are not easily tired when climbing because they are equipped with hill start assist which makes it easy when stopping on a hill. After the suspension is right, it is comfortable when passing through the road is damaged and stable when used cornering. The presence of the rear camera makes it easy to back and park.
On the front exterior, the most striking changes in the updated grille. Makes it even more manly with full LED lights that are equipped with daylight and LED fog lights alongside the new bumper that is more muscular.
The New Honda HR-V is priced cheaper than the Toyota C-HR with starting prices. Although the price is cheaper, when viewed from the features offered, the New Honda HR-V is not inferior to the Toyota C-HR in my opinion.
Marketing and After Sales Service Director of PT HPM, Jonfis Fandy said Honda HR-V offers updated features at affordable prices. HPM wants to give consumers choices in the medium class 1.5 liter SUV.
