Mitsubishi Xpander noted that the number of orders to date has been more than 80 thousand units. The seven-passenger family car is worthy of being the backbone for PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI).
However, complaints come alternately from a number of users. After the paint color case is different between the body and bumper, the electronic control unit, Xpander is now again criticized because of the headlights that are said to provide lighting that feels less bright when the car moves at night.
MMKSI admitted that this condition reduced the view of the driver. A number of complaints were received by MMKSI some time ago which later studied the complaint. After an internal test finally found the core problem.
According to MMKSI the problem is not in the lighting system but in the film glass coating on the windshield. The window film is explained to prevent light from entering the cabin, the effect makes the driver feel like the lighting of the headlights is not bright. In fact, according to MMKSI, there is no problem with the Xpander lighting system.
Xpander is known to use glass film from the Japanese brand, Konica Minolta. Besides Xpander, MMKSI also uses the film glass brand for Mirage, Delica and Outlander Sport.
MMKSI Division Sales and Marketing Director Irwan Kuncoro, the solution for Xpander is to replace the type of film glass since April 2018 but still use the same brand.
"That said he might be too dark. That's why we changed the type, the brand remains Konica. But there is no problem, only the development will be better," said Irwan, last week.
It is known, the window film on the windshield of Xpander uses a type with a darkness level of 40 percent. MMKSI has replaced it with type 20 percent.
Konica film glass is not an item that is included in the local component of Xpander production. MMKSI installed the film in the Pre-Delivery Inspection section before the Xpander unit became the stock that would be sent to consumers.
