Jaguar Land Rover's assembly to be done in China thanks to the help Chery

Cooperation between Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) with a local partner, Chery Automobile Company, which is triggered in mid-2012 finally coming to fruition. Both claimed to have started trying assembly plant near Changshu, China, as reported by Shanghai Daily (04/05/2014).

The initial process begins with trying printing and manufacture of the body in the factory production line. The concrete steps, as well as evidence of funds cascading 10.9 billion yuan ($ 19.8 billion) were used for the assembly plant, with a target start mass production in the last quarter of 2014. The production capacity of 130,000 units per year stipulated.

This investment into JLR effort to move swiftly see the Chinese market continues to grow rapidly. Last year alone, the premium car brand that managed to sell 95 237 units of the car, shot 30 percent from the same period previously.

"This year is very important for Chery Jaguar Land Rover. We will move from the construction phase to the full production process," said Zhu Guohua, Vice-President of the Joint Stock Company.
